How to Prevent West Nile Virus
Around the home, eliminate mosquito breeding grounds from your property by removing standing water in containers, such as flower pots, fountains and pet dishes. You can also do your part by dumping or draining water in neglected swimming pools, ponds, rain barrels, discarded tires, buckets or anything capable of holding water for more than a few days.
NoHo West Celebrates National Night Out
Thank you to all who came out on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 to our National Night Out Against Crime. It was a fun time for neighbors and police to break bread and build partnerships for community safety. Everyone enjoyed burgers and hot dogs at this great community building event we hosted in partnership with Councilmember Krekorian and the Department of Recreation and Parks at Jamie Beth Slavin Park.
Need Swim Lessons?
As a City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks program, SwimLA offers affordable swim lessons for kids ages 4-17 at all City pools, all summer long. Swimming not only beats the summer heat – it teaches kids a lifesaving skill.
Safe Parking to be Offered in North Hollywood
The program will begin with ten spots each at two parking lots owned by the County — at 5205 Melrose Avenue in Hollywood and 5300 Tujunga Avenue in North Hollywood.
