Whitsett South Slope to be Landscaped

The NoHo West Neighborhood Council has begun an ambitious project to landscape the slope south of the train tracks on Whitsett. Work has begun and the weeds have been cleared. Stay tuned as we bring you more progress reports

Valley Plaza Recreation Center Welcomes Our Children

DWP is planning stormwater capture projects in a number of parks adjacent to NoHo West. The public is invited to comment by February 8.

Stormwater Capture for Goodland & Cohasset

The project to capture stormwater and address flooding at Goodland and Cohasset during the next rainy season will begin construction the week of September 21.

Bellaire Pocket Park Burned

NoHo West President Carol Rose has been in contact with Councilmember Paul Krekorian's Office, who originally helped plan, pay for, build and dedicate the park. We are in the planning stages. Repairs are estimated to be around $100,000. 

East Valley Stormwater Capture Program

Strathern Park North, Whitsett Fields, and Valley Plaza Parks are planned to be part of a Stormwater Capture project that will also reduce flooding and improve our parks.

Slope Planting Brings Color to Community

We are pleased to report that the Whitsett slope near the North Hollywood Mural was recently planted. The new drought tolerant native plants include more flowering bushes to add more color to the slope. We are working with Woods Maintenance to make the slope even more beautiful than before.

Metro Smart Bikes Are Now Available in NoHo

Sixteen new Metro Bike Share stations with up to 150 bicycles have now been installed in North Hollywood, Toluca Lake and Valley Village. An additional six stations and 50 bicycles will be added by the end of the year.
